The first Melting Pot restaurant was started in Maitland, Florida in 1975 with a menu that consisted of just three items: Beef fondue, Swiss cheese fondue and milk chocolate fondue for dessert. Since then, The Melting Pot menu has grown immensely, as well as the number of restaurants. For example, within six years, there were five more Melting Pot restaurants in Orlando, Tallahassee, Tampa and Gainesville. At latest count, there are 70 restaurants in locations all across the nation. What’s more, new restaurants are being developed in new areas every day.

Marco's owners want the restaurant to remain primarily a "neighborhood cafe", providing a place for local neighbors, merchants and visitors to enjoy healthy and interesting food in a comfortable space. We strive for the freshest possible ingredients in our dishes. That is why we work with local vendors who provide seasonal, high quality foodstuffs from sustainable and environmentally conscious farming and harvesting methods. We craft our dishes to highlight the natural flavor and goodness of these ingredients.

This restaurant is a culmination of my experiences cooking around the States. I was fortunate enough to get the chance to work with some of the best chefs in this country and from each of them I learned many valuable lessons. I dreamt that my first restaurant would be just like coming to my house for dinner. At my house, people always hang out in the kitchen so I wanted this restaurant to be an extension of my home.

And so it began: the first Dewey's Frozen Custard shop opened in April, 2005 to a terrific response from the local townspeople. Dewey wanted to bring to the Pacific Northwest some great foods that you can't easily find here. Dewey's Frozen Custard offers treasured food items from both the Midwest and the East Coast that have been enjoyed for generations. If you want to try a slice of Americana from other parts of the country, come inside, because Dewey made sure that you are tasting the actual product and not some watered-down approximation; this is the real stuff!
